How you know youre screwed...

When youre in a bar in the East Village, on a first date and everything the girl in front of you is saying becomes like Charlie brown (wa wa wa wa wa, wa? wa wa!) because the DJ determines that as the best time ever to jam Slayer. Immediately your ears are lost to the poor girls voice, and the memories and flashbacks in your head are making her very presence almost an interruption at this point. All you can do is pray the DJ sees fit to resume his bullshit playlist of hipster indie-rock and let… Continue

Ugly? Hells no! I'll start off light with some soda pop, then work my way into the liquor until I see three Leo Ferrantes'. I can't really get ugly since I actually dressed up for this gig. Gotta hold a little feminine cred y'know?

So true story... I am now owner to an old school leather jacket. If I throw on my Reebok high tops and bullet belt I look like I came straight out of the 80's. Let's plan a Thrash party so we can listen to "The Toxic Waltz".

Martriden are amazing. These guys have come a long way. They actually opened for Emperor when they played US dates (last year I think).

I haven't heard of Eluveitie. I will most certainly be looking them up. Russian Circles are up my alley. Arsis "We Are The Nightmare" is VERY good. Those guys just keep getting better on each album.

I have been listening to Testament "The Formation of Damnation" today, holy hell this production is flawless. I think its a sleeper album.

Anything stoner and thrashy, and totally head-bangable. I'm trying to broaden my horizons a little bit in that direction.

I don't really know all that many names. My tastes have always leaned toward Death quite a bit, and I'm just sort of dipping into Stoner and Thrash(again.)
