Iron Maiden To Release Movie - What's Your Favorite Band Flick?

In April, a film documenting the first leg of Iron Maiden's 2008 tour will be released. Iron Maiden: Flight 666 covers two months of the tour, including their time on Ed Force One, the Boeing 757 that contained the band, crew and equipment and was piloted by singer Bruce Dickinson, a registered pilot. Thanks to the plane, the band played an amazing 23 shows in 4 continents in 45 days. Should be a pretty awesome behind-the-scenes look at an insane tour.

So what are your favorite concert films?

Okay, so those aren't movies but, rather, concert dvds. Along that vein, I must say Rammstein's Nimes, France Volkerball show is one of the best shows I've ever seen. I can't help but wonder what if Napalm Death could tour with that budget...

If we're talkin' actual movies here....you cannot deny the Anvil documentary that's been circulating. It's brilliant. Humorous and totally reverential.
Otherwise, "American Hardcore" is a must see to get what old men like me are raving about. And how can we deny "Kiss Meets The Phantom of The Park"? Then again, "Some Kind of Monster" remains a pretty great treatise on three dudes who cannot deal with the realities of simply getting older. Or how "Metal: A Headbanger's Journey"...simply for our man Gaahl and the long pause on the way to uttering the word "Satan".
On the home vid side...."Disasterpieces" is a pretty massive look at a band at the top of their prowess. The Iron Maiden DVD's with the history segments are pretty great, esp 'Live After Death" and the first Danzig home vid, which has sill not been issued on DVD is priceless. Some amazing and quotable interviews: "Do you believe in God?" "Yeah, he's not a guy with a white beard or anything...:
