Believers In The Power of Metal

With Ozzy's re-birth of the Monsters of Rock festival this year in Calgary, AB on Saturday, July 26th at McMahon Stadium, I thought we should discuss the best Monsters of Rock line up ever to happen, this year's excluded.

My vote -

August 20, 1988

* Iron Maiden
* KISS
* Megadeth
* David Lee Roth
* Guns N' Roses
* Helloween

Wow! Those are awesome lineups!

The lineup for this year is pretty boss hog as well. If only I could afford to make the pilgrimage to such a festival.

Ozzy, Judas Priest, Voivod, Testament, 3 Inches of Blood, and Zimmer's Hole!

The other bands don't excite me as much, but I will say that they are all decent and I wouldn't mind watching them play. I question Serj Tankian being so close to the top of the line-up, but I guess he's popular or whatever...

If I was in charge of the order, I would probably arrange it like this:
*in order from headliner to opener

Ozzy Osbourne
Judas Priest
Testament
Voivod
3 Inches of Blood
Zimmer's Hole
Hatebreed
Dilinger Escape Plan
Cavalera Conspiracy
Shadows Fall
Serj Tankian
Priestess
